Temporary Wood Heating Cost

Construction ITEM DESCRIPTION

A construction unit cost for winter project site heating with a wood heating stove burning scrap lumber.

This option probably won't be available to you if you work in urban areas, but it can be a real convenience in rural areas.

Labor Costs

Installing the heater is a one-time fixed cost (we figure about 5 skilled hours and 1 unskilled hour to install the heater and chimney in a safe manner. We also figure about 1/2 unskilled hour per day to feed the stove. It probably takes longer than that, but some of the labor is offset by reduced disposal costs.

NOTE-- Earlier versions of Goldenseal did not have the daily maintenance cost for the wood heat. They list the unit size as "day" but it really should be a one-time flat price for setup only.

Material Costs

None.
