Concrete construction unit cost for installation of a concrete floor slab, with a simple trowel or broom finish.

This cost covers the cost per square foot for any thickness of slab. Use it along with the cost per yard.

We figure about 50 square feet per hour from a crew consisting of one skilled and one unskilled worker. This includes placement of reinforcing mesh and finished surface treatment for the concrete slab (screeding, floating, and a simple trowel or broom finish).

NOTE-- The cost of concrete and concrete placement for the slab is covered in the per yard unit cost. If the slab requires perimeter formwork, add that cost as a separate line item.

The cost includes reinforcing mesh and a bit of utility wire.
