Starting with Goldenseal estimating software version 4.8, you can link a Change Order to an Estimate. That way you can use all the features of regular Estimate records, but bill it as a change order to a project.

How to Use

To create a detailed estimate and then bill it as a change order, follow these steps:

1. Choose Estimates from the Income menu.
2. Click the New button, or click the small triangle next to the New button to start with a template.
3. Fill in estimate details, then click the Enter key to save the record.
4. Choose Change Orders from the Income menu.
5. Click the New button.
6. Click in the Estimates field.
7. Type the first few letters of the estimate name, or click the triangle and choose it from the menu.
