Weight Fields

Feature

Goldenseal estimating software version 3.8 expands use of the Weight field, so you can use it for both Sales and Estimates.

You can enter a weight for each Cost Item. Goldenseal will then calculate the total weight for each Assembly, and also add up the total weight for items in an Estimate or Sale.

Goldenseal uses the weight total to calculate delivery charges on Sales. You can also use it to figure approximate delivery costs for project estimates, if you are estimating manufactured items, or construction projects with materials that need to be delivered on a weight basis.

Technical Details

Some parts of the weight interface are already working in Goldenseal small business software version 3.7, but we have extended it to Estimates, and added the calculation of weights for Assemblies, based on the weight of each component.
