How to Use

The standard layouts in Goldenseal 3.3 will automatically shift to the larger size.

We'll have a download version of the original layouts so you can still use them if you have an older monitor.

Technical Details

For many years computer monitors used a standard of 72 dots per inch, and the original Goldenseal layouts were designed to look good at that monitor pitch. We also designed them to fit easily into a 800 x 600 monitor size (and just barely into a 640 x 480 monitor).

Modern monitors are usually 100 dots per inch, which makes the original Goldenseal layouts seem tiny. So the new layouts use larger fonts and additional space. They are too big for small monitors, but they look fine on modern monitors (which are usually at least 1024 x 768 in size).
