Breakdown Counts in Reports

Feature

Goldenseal accounting and estimating software version 3.3 adds breakdown counts in reports. You can use it in a Condensed estimate to see the number of items in each breakdown. For example, you can use it to see the number of customers or prospects in different areas.

How to Use

To add breakdown counts to a report, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Custom Layouts from the Options menu, and choose Reports from the submenu.
  2. Use the popup fields at upper left to locate the report you'd like to change.
  3. Double-click in the report table in the column where you'd like to show the totals. You need to select a column that does not show currency or number values.
  4. Turn on the checkbox for Show Breakdown Count.
  5. Click OK.
  6. The next time you show this report, Goldenseal business software will fill the number of breakdown items into the selected column.

HINT-- Breakdown counts are especially useful if you turn on the Condensed checkbox for a report. That way, you can get a concise summary of customers by state, prospects by zip code, or any similar totals.
