Adding Cost Categories |
Problem can you add categories to cost control sheet
in MacNail construction job costing software? Diagnosis if they have MacNail Customizing, it's best to make a custom estimator with new categories. CC sheets made from estimates that are made from that will get the new cats/subcats automatically. NOTE-- Goldenseal uses a more general system for cost categories and subcategories, so you can change details in a Category System, and automatically use them for estimating, job costing, etc. Solution to change an existing cost control sheet itself, you can: 1. Add a new category to a 1 layer CC sheet. In
CC Manager, select a row on the cc sheet and choose Add Rows from
the Edit menu. When asked to fill down formulas, click OK. Then change
code, description
etc. NOTE: It is not really possible to add a new category to a 2 layer cc sheet. Would involve adding formulas etc, more than we can explain over the phone. NOTE 2: To make a permanent change for future cc sheets made 'from scratch', do the above on the MacNail 1 layer cc blank or whichever blank they use. Comments Entered 9/18/95 by Dennis.
