Marching Ants |
Problem Can't get rid of "marquee", marching ants selection rectangle in worksheet after a copy NOTE-- This answer applies to MacNail construction software, an Excel-based estimating and accounting program which we retired in 2001. It has since been replaced by Goldenseal estimating software and accounting software for Macintosh and Windows. Diagnosis Not a problem, they can march all day without affecting anything. It stops the next type the user types something. Solution If they really want to get rid of it: type command-period, or escape key on keyboard. Comments Warning: just hitting the "Enter" button may paste the contents of the clipboard into the worksheet! Must follow instructions above exactly. This is a general Excel thing totally unrelated to MacNail construction software, but of course users think we did it. Entered 10/13/92 by Vinay. Updated
