Problem

When you click on the help button, Goldenseal shows you text explaining how to use that type of record. This text is stored in the company file.

We have added a few new types of records over the past few years, such as Events and Project Phases. Users with older files won't have the help text for those new classes of records.

Solution

You can now import the help text for recently-added transaction classes. As a bonus, you'll also get the most recent help text for all types of records.

Follow these steps:

1. Download the latest help text file from our website.
2. If your browser has not already decompressed the file, use Stuffit Expander, WinZip or another decompression program on it.
3. In Goldenseal, choose Import from the File menu, and choose Payroll Update from the submenu.
4. In the file open dialog, locate the Help-Text or Help-Text.txt file that you just imported, and open it.
5. Goldenseal will bring in the latest help text.
