Print Forms for Project Phases

Problem

In Goldenseal 3.8 and 3.9, it's not possible to add printed forms for the new Project Phase records.

Solution

In Goldenseal estimating software versions 4.0 and later, you can now set up custom printed forms for Project Phases.

For example, to copy some layouts from Estimates so you can also use them to print out customer proposals for individual phases on a project, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Custom Layouts from the Options menu, and choose Printed Forms from the submenu.
  2. Enter Estimates into the Transaction popup field at upper left.
  3. Choose a form in the Print Form popup field.
  4. Choose Select All from the Edit menu.
  5. Choose Copy from the Edit menu.

Now you can use the same layout for Project Phases:

  1. Enter Project Phases into the Transaction popup field at upper left.
  2. When Goldenseal asks you for a form name, type in a description, then click OK.
  3. Choose Paste from the Edit menu.
  4. Close the layout, and save changes.

To print the form for a Project Phase, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Project Phases from the Income menu.
  2. Locate the record you want to print.
  3. Choose Print Forms from the File menu.
  4. Select the form you want to print.
  5. Click the Print button.
