Shipping Labels

Problem

Shipping labels are not lining up properly, vertically. The second row of labels prints a little too low, and then the third row prints lower yet.

Caught By

Turtle Creek Software testing.

Workaround

If you are using version 3.8 of the Goldenseal accounting software, you can fix this problem immediately by doing the following:

  1. Choose Custom Layouts from the Options menu, and choose Printed Forms from the submenu.
  2. Enter Sales into the Transaction popup field at upper left.
  3. Enter Shipping Labels into the Print Form popup field.
  4. Choose Size & Margins from the Options menu.
  5. Re-enter 3 Per Page into the Page Placement popup field. Click OK.
  6. Goldenseal will resize the layout to be a bit smaller. You may need to shift some items up.
  7. Close the layout window, and save changes.

Solution

In Goldenseal 3.9, we have reset the Shipping Labels layout so it will print properly.

NOTE-- If you have customized the Shipping Labels layout, you may still need to follow the steps above.

Technical Details

In version 3.8 of the Goldenseal accounting software, we fixed a printing alignment bug, that was missing out on the bottom margin size, and making each print area a little too big for the Shipping Labels layout. However we forgot to redo the layout itself, which is where the problem occurs.
