When you use an Items breakdown in an Inventory Used transaction, the Goldenseal accounting software program automatically fills in a price for each item.

In Goldenseal 3.8 and earlier, it always uses the purchase price.

Starting with Goldenseal 3.9, it fills in different prices, depending on the type of job cost account to which it applies.

  • For Project accounts, it now uses the project price.
  • For Customer accounts, it now uses the resale price.
  • For Overhead and other types of accounts, it still uses the purchase price.

NOTE-- In all cases, you can type in a different unit price, after you have filled in the item.

How to Use

Simply fill in a job account, and then enter Cost Items into the Inventory Used breakdowns. Goldenseal will use the most appropriate pricing for that type of account.
