Labor Billing-- Cost Plus Fixed Amount

Starting in Goldenseal time billing software version 3.7, we've added one more option in the Labor Billing Rates. Now you can use the Pay Rate or Net Payroll Cost plus a fixed amount.

For example, you can use it to bill for employee time at their actual wage rate, plus a fixed dollar amount to cover burden and overhead.

How to Use

To set up a billing rate using a fixed amount, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Billing Rates from the Options menu, and choose Labor from the submenu.
  2. Click the New button.
  3. Type in a name for the rate.
  4. Click on the Calc Method popup field, and choose Pay Rate Plus Amount, or Net Cost Plus Amount.
  5. Type in the additional amount you'd like to add to the gross payroll, or payroll cost plus burden.
  6. Click OK.

You can use these billing rates for either job costing, or for T&M billing.
