Feature

Starting with Goldenseal small business software version 3.4, you have the option to use case sensitive passwords (which require you to type upper and lower case letters exactly the same as in the stored password).

How to Use

To make passwords case sensitive, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Passwords from the Options menu.
  2. Click on a password in the list, then click the Edit button.
  3. Turn on the Case Sensitive checkbox.
  4. Click OK.

Technical Details

Making passwords case sensitive is more secure, though it is also more annoying.

If your password is FlaMinGo and Case Sensitive is turned on, then you have to type FlaMinGo exactly. If Case Sensitive is turned off, then you can type flamingo or FLAMINGO or any other combination of upper and lower case letters.
