Framing Estimating Software

Goldenseal is framing estimation software that provides quick and accurate estimates for residential and light commercial building construction projects. It includes "smart dimensions" which let you enter a few simple numbers, and get quick quantities for floors, walls, roof rafters or trusses and other framing.

The Goldenseal framing estimator software gives you "whole project" estimates for new construction and additions, and "room by room" estimates for remodeling. It includes built-in labor and material costs for wood framing and metal framing-- including floor framing, wall framing, roof framing, decks and porches, stairs and other framing.

Goldenseal is lumber estimating software that gives you a detailed lumber estimate for each project. You can also get a detailed takeoff for metal framing, fasteners and other framing components.

Material Takeoffs

Goldenseal is material takeoffs software that creates a material purchase list from any estimate or change order.

You can get a lumber takeoff and a list of other materials for the whole project, or just for items during a date range. One report shows lumber takeoffs grouped together into a bulk order, and another report itemizes them by assembly so you know how each item is used.

The materials takeoffs include lumber or metal framing and fasteners. You can also get a tool list that tells you exactly what to take for each project.

HINT-- To see the materials included in each unit cost, choose Assemblies from the Costs menu. You can use the Find command to locate a specific item.

Job Cost Accounting

Goldenseal is framing business accounting software that tracks expenses and income, so you know how well you are doing on each project. It handles job costing, expense tracking, check writing, project billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll. It's all the accounting you need to run a framing subcontractor business.

Scheduling

Goldenseal is framing scheduling software that tells you when you can finish each job. It calculates the completion date of each item in an estimate, based on the person-hours that are included in the assembly, and the crew size you are using for that work.

Goldenseal calculates each schedule based on your actual working hours. You can add delays of any kind, and you can change the actual start date of any step in the schedule (Goldenseal will automatically adjust the dates for all following items).
